The cartoons in this book provide an insight into contemporary reaction to the birth of film. Reproduced in colour and black and white, with brief introductions, the cartoons are by Heath Robinson, Rube Goldberg, Heinrich Zille, Henriot, Storm Petersen, H.M. Bateman and many others.
