Contemplation is enjoying God. We are all called to enjoy Him not only in eternity but on earth in the eternal now because He is not the God of the past but of the present; not the God of the dead but of the living. To enjoy God we need to encounter Him. We encounter Him in everyday events. He is not invented but discovered for He is neither distant nor deaf but closer to us than we are to ourselves. These pages are aninvitation to explore, enter, experience and enjoy the otherness of ordinariness and to encounter Him, howsoever we understand Him, and to learn to read his handwriting.
