 彰化師範大學國文學系創設以詩學研究為發展重點，連續十三年舉辦全國性古典詩與現代詩學研討會，第十四屆詩學會議於2005年5月舉辦，討論臺灣中生代的詩家，包括席慕蓉、吳晟、蕭蕭、李敏勇、羅青、鄭炯明、蘇紹連、杜十三、白靈、渡也、陳義芝、陳黎及向陽等，專家學者共聚一堂，進行中生代詩家的研究與交流。
