  本書適用對象是大學部三、四年級學生和研究所的碩士班研究生,因此特別邀請具有指導學生經驗豐富的教授群,從其本身實際從事社會科學與教育研究的親身體驗與指導大學生與研究生的觀點角度,進行各章之撰寫,以應社會科學與教育研究的課程教學與學習之實際需要,更可作為大學及研究所開設社會科學研究方法、教育研究方法、質的研究、量化研究等課程之參考,期能實質有助於提升大學生與研究生進行社會科學研究與教育研究之素養。
