本書根據作者多年劇場演員表演、影視戲劇表演、活動主持現場實務、影視主持經驗、電影廣告配音經驗、戲劇表演訓練經驗、口語開發訓練、司儀主持訓練、身體聲音心智表演整合教育研究研發，從主持產業與實務需求角度出發，以主持人基本能力養成，特別請教演藝圈前輩，為增進主持能力而自創的方法與技巧，以及與眾多藝人、廣告公關活動客戶廠商一起並肩作戰的十五年經驗法則與所見所聞，並以深厚表演訓練的基底，規劃設計主持訓練方法與主持表演方法。

本書分為Ｉ、ＩＩ兩冊，上冊特別為養成「主持基本功」練功、培養主持人的基本認知及優良素質、技巧方法，幫助有志從事主持相關的表演工作的學子，有方法、步驟切合表演事業產業現場及實務需求，幫助學生培養主持敏感度、主持概論、主持基本功、主持腦，打造與建造主持人才與開發口語表達能力。下冊著重進入後段「準備工作」、動態技巧（互動、訪問）、引詞、手卡製作……群眾心理學、主持表演現場的各式人情與狀態、與人應對技巧。特別增加「影視主持經驗與案例」，幫助大家未來可以轉換主持經驗進入鏡頭主持的領域與市場，可以如歐美或是日韓港藝人般，成為全方位的藝人，讓演藝之路更寬更廣。

本書講述生動活動、文字易懂、案例反應主持實務現場與各種面向，舉例、體驗練習、建構式練習設計讓學生更容易進入情境、開發口語及主持表演潛能。直接套用與應用的整合式教案設計，主持能力快速融會貫通與打造優質實力。
