日本少數的民間科學鑑定機構／鑑識科學鑑定研究所負責人，認為鑑識科學就是以「科學和技術」來研究、解決犯罪問題的學問。日本鑑識科學技術學會正會員。網羅前科警研、科搜研人員及各領域的科學鑑定專家、研究員組成團隊，接受法院、檢察與警察等官方機構、律師、企業、個人的委託，平均每年經手超過800件鑑定案件。另外也擔任《腦科學先生》、《相棒》、《破案天才伽利略》、《絕對零度》、《Unnatural法醫女王》、《Trace～科搜研之男～》等熱門日劇的科學搜查指導和監修。主要著作有《あの事件の犯人は、これで浮かび上がった！科学捜査》（主婦之友社）、《犯人は知らない科学捜査の最前線》（MEDIA FACTORY）等書。
