我們會將哪些詞彙用於女性身上：膽小、柔弱、溫順、依賴性強、剛強、豪爽、正義、勇敢、堅強、獨立、果斷？

「脆弱，你的名字是女人!」（“Frailty, thy name is woman!”莎士比亞：《哈姆雷特》第一幕，第二場，第146行）當真？果然？

「做人難，做女人更難，做名女人難上加難。」（內地演員劉曉慶）決心做個效法基督的女性又如何？

聖經記下的每一個女性，各有獨特的個性，當然，各人也有強弱處。平淡、相安無事的日子，顯不出她們處事的作風、機智、勇敢、膽識、信心、堅忍、鎮定……她們一生不斷為生活、為家人、為理想奮鬥。一旦遇上問題，她們毫不退縮，勇往直前，確實是「巾幗不讓鬚眉」。

作者抽取了約40位聖經提及的女性，並仔細分析32段經文，給予她們不同的評價，從而希望讀者不要忽視出現在我們人生中的每一個女性（包括你自己）的價值，讚賞她們對家人、對朋友、對社會、對教會付出的一切。每一章附有適切的討論問題。

當我們感到生活不如意，要面對種種磨人的挑戰和考驗時，希望本書的某一個女性能夠鼓勵你。

問一問自己，在你生命中，可曾有一個女人，不知為甚麼，為你無怨無悔的做了一些事？
